Portfolio in a pocket

I want to tell you how with this white magical box you can gain new clients, surprise potential or existing clients, learn the client's taste and stand out from the rest of the gray mass.
Portfolio in pocket in Latvian meaning "Your portfolio in your pocket!"

The White Box

What is in this white magical box????

The box contains 100 business cards of 28mm x 70mm (350g/m2). How do they differ from other business cards?

Each business card has a different photo. And we ourselves can choose which photos we want to print.

On the other side, there's the option to print anything you want in writing. Also supports Latvian letters.

MiniCards

What is such a thing good for. When someone gives you a business card, they are all the same and you don't feel special, because you receive "just another identical business card". To my clients, I give the whole stack and tell them to choose the one they like most (by the photo). 99% of clients are pleasantly surprised by such an operation. When the selection happens, the client looks at the photographs or your portfolio (second rabbit shot). When a client chooses a business card, I'm always curious which photo they choose (once a model chose a photo with delicious pancakes, honey, milk and strawberries ;). From this procedure, you can get to know the client better (taste, hidden desires, etc.). The only downside to such cards is that they run out quickly ;), and the format 3x7cm is quite awkward (standard business card is 5x9cm), which means such smaller ones can be lost more easily. I sent a letter to the manufacturers about introducing a normal business card format, to which I received a response that such a service is in development. It's just that I received such a letter about a year and a half ago. Somehow this process is delayed for them.

Moo

When I looked for such an option in Latvia, it turned out very expensive to order 100 business cards with different images. The foreign website www.moo.com offers this option for 12 Ls and delivery to Latvia ~3 Ls. Free of charge, you additionally receive a white portable plastic box for business cards. Designing business cards is very quick and pleasant. I recommend registering at www.flickr.com, where you can upload photos that moo.com will use for business cards. Each photo, using the web interface, you can crop and virtually preview how your business card will look. A great way to make handing out business cards an effective marketing move and an enjoyable activity for the client.

the MiniCards product is really one of the best ways to present yourself, noticed it long ago, but didn't try it precisely because there's not really anything to put from my own photos, and the offered ready-made ones didn't catch on 8)

well, I've been using flickr and those offered options for a long time, just making photo books, stickers, business cards, great opportunity, gift etc. more quality and more options than in LV.

I've already seen these in Riga from at least 2 people I know. The biggest minus is the format - they really are too small, so not much of the picture is visible either.

various are to some extent a big vagueness... :)
exactly about various I myself was pondering before.
8.andreart  2008-03-12 21:00:38
yeah but I haven't seen anyone having various...
7.vinils  2008-03-12 13:28:08
hmmm, well I already thought long two years ago whether to make these, or interesting regular ones and came to the conclusion that business cards on a photo basis for all photographers seem a bit boring... to each his own... can intrigue clients with a simple, tasteful design too.. :)

Well then me, I don't really do anything, just noted andre's unusual willingness to share experience - drive, because, it seems, others wouldn't do it so sincerely.

kh kh. typical lv citizen comment. One must stand and grow in all respects, then the poor guys will be in the minority.

flick.com??? isn't it www.flickr.com ? But the trick really is good! Good luck!

Well, there is a little twist to it! You need just one more step to come up with or find something like that and still be willing to bother seeing it through to the end. It is a hundred times easier to just go to office X in Ridzins and say: please make me this kind of design for that date. Basta!
2.andreart  2008-03-12 10:45:40
that's not really any idea :P
1.M.  2008-03-12 10:41:57
You're a freak! Really not a pity to share so your ideas, tricks and raisins? Competitors also read and prick up ears..... right? :)
